Mike joined the team in 1999, under the supervision of founder, Joe McHugh. He started to design systems and manage projects, which eventually led him into partnership with Brian Malloy and Steve Griet, when Joe McHugh retired, making him Vice President – Director of Mechanical Engineering in 2013. Mike went to Drexel University and graduated with a BSME and MSCIVE, and now has professional licenses in NJ, PA, CA, MI, NY, CT, MA, TN.
One of Mike’s memorable projects was Parktowne Place in Philadelphia, which ended up being an 8-year project since it started as upgrading the MPE systems in the buildings and evolved into a contract to renovate the Towne Center and apartments.
Outside of work, Mike likes to spend time with his wife and 3 awesome children. They are busy with their kids very active lives in different sports and activities. To help encourage future engineers in the neighborhood, Mike mentors three First Robotics Lego League Teams. He also enjoys biking and enters the MS Bike Race that travels up to 175 miles in 2 days. Mike enjoys unhealthy food and claims pizza is his favorite. He thinks Rocky I is the best movie in the franchise because it really defines that if you give it your all, you still may not win.
