We are proud to share some of our photos of our recently completed project with Green Woods Charter School. Green Woods Charter School started with an initial charter in 2007, focusing on environmental education, operating out of the Schuylkill Center before moving to temporary spots in Manayunk, and finally opening its permanent, eco-friendly campus in Roxborough in January 2014, built on a remediated former industrial site (Keenan’s Valley View Inn). The school is known for its innovative environmental focus, growing from its roots to become a respected K-8 institution with high academic performance and a strong community presence.
We are thrilled to have been able to help Green Woods continue to foster this environment of eco-friendly education with an addition of a greenhouse and classroom area to the existing charter school. Further design highlights include a reception area, vestibule, bathroom, and multi-purpose room.
Engineering services include mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection system specifically building automation system, multi-zone and single zone ductless split systems, electric heaters, exhaust air systems, domestic water heating system, domestic water distribution system, sanitary evacuation system, lighting, lighting controls, exit/emergency lighting, power distribution system, addressable fire alarm devices, low voltage systems power, and fire protection system (performance specification).
