Meet Jaime Hernandez, our new Co-op team member. Jaime is currently attending Drexel University and plans to graduate in 2027. He supports our design teams with various tasks including load calculations and ductwork layouts. The co-op program is a great opportunity for us to receive extra support, and for the industry to attract young new talent.
We asked Jaime a handful of questions to get to know him better. We are happy to have him part of the team and wish him the best of luck as he finishes school and works towards his future goals.
Why are you majoring in Engineering?
I’m majoring in engineering because I like the satisfaction I get after finishing a project that performs well. The design process can be frustrating at times, but engineering isn’t always easy. I also think the skills I’ll learn in engineering are invaluable.
What are your future plans in Engineering?
Those plans are up in the air. I don’t really know where I’ll go after I graduate, but I hope it’s something I’ll like.
What do you like to do outside of school and work?
I like to play video games and code something from time to time because I like a little challenge. I enjoy origami, as I find it to be a nice stress reliever, and I play a variety of sports. The main ones I play are squash, soccer, tennis, and volleyball.
