In September 2021, a tornado came through and damaged one of Acts Retirement-Life Communities in the Fort Washington Estates’ buildings. The roofing material was blown off causing water to enter the building. Water damage to 13 apartments, the common corridor, and café area. The building had to be completed gutted down to the metal studs (removal of all walls), mechanical equipment damaged, removed all ductwork, all insulation, electrical devices, lighting fixtures, etc. Thankfully, no one was injured during the storm.
Acts moved quickly to get the first set of residents back in January 2022, and recently finished the café and dining area. We were proud to help restore these community homes after a natural disaster and happy to report no one was hurt during the storm.
